Intrinsic energy leaves its visual imprint on the canvas through the open exploration of my mind and my paint. Improvisation and organic occurrence form the baseline of my work, where I then consider and work through the formalities of design such as composition, balance, and space. Both sides of this process are equally important and motivating to me as an artist.

Each successive mark is born as a reaction to the previous one, making my practice deeply intuitive and process-driven. By layering varied colors, textures, lines, and shapes across multiple mediums, I create a sense of depth, space, and mood—allowing my paintings to exist in their own right, free from the confines of literal subject matter.

Within these abstract structures lies a kinship and a resonance with places in my mind, past or present. It is through these works that I am able to see myself amidst my perceived and physical environments, moving in constant, authentic reaction to them.
